Tahiti
We arrived in Tahiti and spent our first night in Papeete (Pah-peh-et-eh for you non French speakers). They next day we took a ferry to Moorena where we checked into the Sheraton for the next 5 days in an over water bungalow. The water out here is clear and blue and we can walk right off our deck and into the water to snorkel. There are fish and coral everywhere to look at. To one side of us is a blue lagoon and behind us huge green majestic mountain peaks. This is the life. So this is where we are now. We have two more days before we head back to N-Zed and begin our 20 day tour of the South Island. ‘They’ say the South Island is even more beautiful that the North. We’ll see as I am still sceptical of what ‘they’ say and am still trying to find out who ‘they’ are. Anyway, we will be in Tahiti for Thanksgiving (tomorrow), dunno if we will find any turkey to eat but it is a minor trade off for where we get to be. We do miss being with our families and friends for the holiday. Will blog again when we get back to the South Island.
